Pirates - Adventure in the Thirty-years War

Pirates - Adventure in the Thirty-years War

It seems that the main concern of people living in Iceland is to survive the freezing cold and find something to eat. It is quite a challenge; for instance collecting ordinary eggs is an expedition worth Tarzan himself as the man rope down severe cliffs and hang above the thundering tide with no climbing equipment to secure them. What´s more: people live in molehills there. Really! The roof is overgrown by grass and the house looks like a mound from outside. But the Icelanders manage. They are well accustomed to their struggle with nature. But one - exceptionally beautiful - day pirate ships from distant north Africa appear near their coast...

You have just heard the Raven song in Icelandic, that is. Bjarni, Odd and Gudmund are real chaps, don’t you think?
